Building Champions On and Off the Course
At Wildfires, running is more than just racing—it’s about building discipline, resilience, and joy in the journey. Whether you’re a middle school student just lacing up, a high school athlete preparing for varsity competition, or an adult chasing personal bests, we provide the structure, accountability, and encouragement to help you reach your full potential.

Our athletes don’t just train hard—they train smart. With thoughtfully designed workouts, strength training, proper recovery, nutrition guidance, and individualized feedback, every runner is equipped to perform their best when it matters most.

What Sets Us Apart
-
Structured Programs for All Levels – From middle school development to varsity-level training, every athlete follows a clear plan for growth.
-
Holistic Coaching – We emphasize more than mileage: strength, sleep, hydration, and clean fueling all play a role in peak performance.
-
Community & Support – Our culture is built on encouragement, accountability, and respect. Athletes learn to be proactive, responsible, and team-minded.
-
Proven Results – From PRs on tough summer courses to historic team breakthroughs, our athletes raise the bar every season.
We’re proud of the progress our runners have made—age group awards across multiple races, first-place team finishes at the Heritage Valley 5K, and back-to-back victories at the Santa Clarita Independence Day 5K. These accomplishments reflect the dedication, consistency, and heart of our team.

No matter your age or experience, there’s a place for you here. Join Wildfires and be part of a program that challenges you, celebrates your growth, and helps you race smarter, peak stronger, and run with purpose.

Weightlifting
Wildfires' emphasis on functional strength training truly gives it an edge over other programs. Athletes train with full-sized 2" Olympic barbells, gaining hands-on experience in using them to elevate athletic performance. Thanks to mobile barbell stands and weight benches, we can turn any park into a complete training facility—equipped for Olympic lifts, barbell complexes, and burnout sessions. This builds a powerful foundation of strength that not only helps prevent injury but also unlocks higher levels of performance.

Cutting Edge Training
While we respect and utilize time-tested training methods, Wildfires is equally committed to integrating the latest advances in performance science. Currently, we are drawing from the highly effective Norwegian training model—the same approach behind multiple world records and Olympic gold medals in track and triathlon. Beyond the physical, our athletes also develop a strong foundation in modern sports psychology, giving them the tools to overcome mental challenges not only in racing, but in life as well.

Complimentary By Design
Athletes come to Wildfires Elite with diverse goals, and we’re here to support them all. For small schools in the Santa Clarita Valley without summer conditioning, we provide the structure and team environment athletes need to prepare for successful CIF seasons.
For those training at the AAU or USATF level, we keep athletes consistent when their clubs are out of session—while also offering the functional strength training many programs lack. This combination builds stronger, healthier runners ready to reach their full potential.

TOP ATHLETES WHO TRAINED UNDER COACH E

MIA BARNETT - 2019 FOOTLOCKER WEST CHAMPION

Mia Barnett has trained with Coach E in 2019. A naturally talented track athlete, Coach E worked with her to increase her aerobic endurance and lactic threshold. Just like in past years, she was able to win the CIF-SS Division 5 Championship in cross country. Added to that honor, Mia was able to run a personal best by over a minute from previous years to win the Footlocker West Region at Mount SAC in 17:02.40. While running for Coach E at Village Christian, Mia posted PR's in the 1600m (4:46.12) and 3200m (10:22.51), as well. Her father attributes this increase in speed to the focused interval work in which Coach E paced Mia at paces she was not accustomed to sustaining in her normal practice routines.
